Bean beetles (Bruchus quadrimaculatus) are an excellent addition to the diet of many amphibians and small lizard species. Due to their high palatability, they are readily eaten by many pets. They are characterized by a good nutritional content combined with a low fat content and are ideally suited as a supplementary food.

You will receive the bean beetles as a breeding starter in a 500ml container. The beetles will hatch gradually and can then be directly added to the terrarium as live food.

Please note that this is a breeding culture: Depending on the stage of development, it may take some time for the first beetles to hatch. Bean weevils require approximately 3–4 weeks from egg laying to hatching. For rapid development, the culture should be kept warm, ideally at 25–32 °C.
